Amelia wanted to be the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean and land in Ireland. Putnam thought it was to unsafe so he tricked her and said she could, but she didn’t really fly the plane she just was in it. She did not like the way Putnam tricked her. When she got back she was very unpleased with the news paper the heading was The Brave Amelia Flights in a Plane across the Atlantic she was not pleased with this heading.
She wanted to fill in the unsuccessful feeling in her heart so she told Putnam that she wanted to flight around the world she said she needed to have the Electra. Once she got it she took off but there was a problem they could not get in touch with the landing people she crashed and died. She wanted to be free in the air. I think it was courageous and foolish. Courageous because she believed that she could do something and she knew that she might not come back alive. Foolish because she only did that to clear her name of not flighting the plane in the Atlantic.
